Furniture wrapping
Furniture wrapping gives tables, desks, sideboards, shelving and cabinets a new surface in architectural vinyl film. KWrap wraps furniture for homes and businesses across London and the South East, so solid pieces you already own can match a new colour scheme instead of being thrown away.

Which furniture can be wrapped?
Furniture with flat or gently curved surfaces is ideal for wrapping: dining and coffee tables, desks, sideboards, TV units, bookcases, chests of drawers, bedside tables and built-in shelving. Laminate, melamine, MDF, painted timber and metal all take film well once cleaned and prepared.
Heavily carved, spindled or deeply moulded furniture is harder to wrap neatly, because film has to be stretched into every detail. These pieces are often better painted or restored.
Matching furniture to a wrapped kitchen or wardrobe
Furniture wrapping is often added to a kitchen or wardrobe job. A dining table, a dresser or a bedside table wrapped in the same oak or matt colour as the units makes a room look planned rather than pieced together. See kitchen wrapping and wardrobe wrapping.
Furniture wrapping for businesses
Offices, shops, hotels and restaurants use furniture wrapping to update desks, reception counters, tables and display units without buying new furniture. Wrapping keeps usable furniture out of landfill and avoids the lead times of new orders. For larger commercial projects, see architectural wrapping.
What furniture wrapping covers
Furniture wrapping covers every visible face of a piece, so it looks made in the new finish rather than covered.
- Table tops, edges and legs where suitable
- Desk tops, pedestals and modesty panels
- Sideboards, dressers, TV units and bookcases
- Drawers and doors, with handles removed and refitted
- Cleaning, sanding and filling minor damage
- Metal furniture such as filing cabinets and lockers
How KWrap wraps furniture
- 1
Assess the piece
We check the shape, material and condition of each piece and confirm it will wrap neatly.
- 2
Prepare
Handles come off, surfaces are cleaned and degreased, and dents and chips are filled and sanded.
- 3
Wrap
Film is applied, heated and stretched around edges and corners, with joins placed out of sight.
- 4
Finish
Edges are post-heated, handles refitted and the piece is ready to use.
Furniture wrapping suits
- Solid furniture in a finish that no longer suits the room
- Pieces that should match a newly wrapped kitchen or wardrobe
- Office desks and tables after a rebrand or move
- Rental and holiday-let furniture
Better painted or restored
- Ornate, carved or turned furniture, where film cannot follow every detail
- Antiques and pieces where the original finish has value
What affects the cost of furniture wrapping
Furniture wrapping is quoted piece by piece.
The quickest way to a price: send a few photos on WhatsApp, any day from 7am to 9pm.
- Size and number of pieces
- Larger pieces and more of them use more film and more time.
- Shape
- Flat, square pieces are quickest. Curves, mouldings and legs take more hand work.
- Condition
- Dents, chips, old varnish and damage add preparation time.
- Finish
- Wood, stone, metal and soft-touch films vary in price.

Why homeowners and businesses choose KWrap
Wrapping is the whole job
KWrap is a vinyl wrapping specialist for kitchens, homes and commercial interiors. Specialism matters because a wrap is judged at its edges and corners, where film has to be heated, stretched and sealed by hand.
Days, not weeks
Most kitchens are wrapped in a day or two, because nothing is ripped out and nothing new has to be made to measure. Your existing units, plumbing and appliances stay exactly where they are.
No rip-out, no mess
Wrapping goes over what you already have, so there is no demolition, no skip on the drive and no weeks of eating takeaways while a kitchen is refitted.
Real samples, in your light
You choose from physical film samples held against your own walls, floor and worktops, because a finish on a phone screen never looks the same as film in your room.
Furniture wrapping: your questions answered
Can you vinyl wrap a dining table?
Yes. A dining table top, its edges and often its legs can be vinyl wrapped. Table tops get daily wear, so placemats and coasters help protect the film from heat and scratches.
Can you wrap furniture in a wood grain finish?
Yes. Wood-effect architectural films are embossed with a real grain texture, so a wrapped table or sideboard looks and feels like wood rather than a printed picture of it.
Is wrapping better than painting furniture?
Wrapping offers wood, stone and metal effects as well as solid colours, has no drying time and can be removed later. Painting suits carved or ornate furniture, where film cannot follow the detail.
Can you wrap metal furniture?
Yes. Smooth metal surfaces such as filing cabinets, lockers and metal desk frames can be wrapped after they are cleaned and degreased.
