Architectural wrapping in London
Architectural wrapping is the application of specialist interior film to doors, walls, desks, lifts, counters and furniture to change their finish without replacing them. KWrap provides architectural wrapping for offices, hotels, lifts and shops across London and the South East, including 3M Di-Noc films.

BeforeWhat is architectural film?
Architectural film is a self-adhesive surface finish made for interiors. It is printed and embossed to reproduce wood, stone, metal, leather, fabric and solid colours, and it is fitted with heat so it can be formed around edges, frames and profiles. Commercial architectural films are tested for properties such as fire performance and cleanability, which is why they are used in offices, hotels and public buildings as well as homes.
Architectural wrapping for offices
Office wrapping updates reception desks, meeting tables, workstations, doors, partitions, lockers and tea points in place. Refitting an office means removing and disposing of furniture and fittings that often still work. Wrapping changes the finish where it stands, which reduces waste, cost and the time a floor is out of use.
Hotels, restaurants and bars
Hotels use architectural wrapping on bedroom wardrobes, headboards, desks, doors and bathroom vanity units, and restaurants and bars use it on counters, bar fronts and wall panels. Rooms and areas can be wrapped one at a time, so the rest of the building keeps trading.
Lift wrapping
Lift wrapping covers lift car interiors, lift doors, frames and lobby panels in durable architectural film. Lift interiors take heavy daily use, so the film is chosen for durability and for the fire classification the building requires, and the work is planned with the building manager so the lift is out of service for as short a time as possible.
3M Di-Noc architectural film
3M Di-Noc is a range of architectural finishes made by 3M, with hundreds of wood, metal, stone, leather and abstract designs. KWrap installs 3M Di-Noc, choosing the film to suit the surface, the budget and the requirements of the building. Designers who have specified a Di-Noc finish can send the reference with their quote request.
Architectural wrapping at home
The same films are used in homes for front, internal and uPVC door wrapping, uPVC window frame wrapping, built-in joinery and furniture.

What architectural wrapping covers
Architectural film can be applied to most smooth, sound interior surfaces, which makes it useful across a whole building.
- Reception desks, counters and bar fronts
- Office desks, meeting tables, pedestals and lockers
- Internal doors, door frames and architraves
- Lift car interiors, lift doors and lobby panels
- Wall panels, columns and partitions
- Hotel wardrobes, headboards and vanity units

- Kitchenettes and tea points
How a commercial wrapping project runs
- 1
Site visit and specification
We survey the surfaces, confirm what the building requires from the film, including fire performance, and agree the scope.
- 2
Samples and approval
Finishes are approved from physical samples, and a test area can be wrapped on site for sign-off before the main job.
- 3
Programme
Working areas, hours and access are agreed so the building can keep running while each area is wrapped.
- 4
Install and handover
Surfaces are prepared, wrapped and post-heated, then handed over area by area with care and cleaning guidance.
Architectural wrapping is used by
- Facilities and office managers refreshing a floor or reception
- Hotel, restaurant and bar operators updating rooms and front-of-house
- Building and property managers refurbishing lifts and common areas
- Interior designers and shopfitters specifying film finishes
- Landlords preparing commercial space for new tenants
What affects the cost of architectural wrapping
Commercial wrapping is quoted from a site visit, because the building, the surfaces and the way the space is used all change the work involved.
The quickest way to a price: send a few photos on WhatsApp, any day from 7am to 9pm.
- Area and number of items
- The total surface area and the number of desks, doors, panels or lift cars being wrapped.
- Surface condition
- Damage, old coatings and uneven surfaces need preparing before film goes on.
- Film specification
- Premium textured films and films with specific fire classifications vary in price.
- Working hours and access
- Phased work, restricted hours and access to upper floors or lift shafts affect the programme.
- Site requirements
- Inductions, permits, method statements and parking all form part of the job.

Why homeowners and businesses choose KWrap
Wrapping is the whole job
KWrap is a vinyl wrapping specialist for kitchens, homes and commercial interiors. Specialism matters because a wrap is judged at its edges and corners, where film has to be heated, stretched and sealed by hand.
Refurbish in place
Desks, doors, counters and lift panels stay where they are and are re-covered on site, so there is nothing to strip out, manufacture or deliver.
Less waste
Architectural wrapping keeps working fittings in use instead of sending them to landfill, which helps buildings with sustainability targets.
Real samples, in your light
You choose from physical film samples held against your own walls, floor and worktops, because a finish on a phone screen never looks the same as film in your room.
Architectural wrapping: your questions answered
What is architectural wrapping?
Architectural wrapping is the application of a self-adhesive architectural film to interior surfaces such as doors, desks, walls, lifts and counters. The film changes the finish to a wood, stone, metal or solid colour without replacing the item underneath.
What is 3M Di-Noc?
3M Di-Noc is a range of architectural finish films made by 3M, with hundreds of wood, metal, stone, leather and abstract designs. KWrap installs 3M Di-Noc films and chooses the film to suit the surface, the budget and the building.
Is architectural film fire rated?
Many architectural films, including 3M Di-Noc, carry fire classifications when applied to specified surfaces. The classification depends on the film and what it is applied to, so KWrap confirms the fire data against your building requirements before work starts.
Can you work while our office or hotel stays open?
Architectural wrapping is quiet and creates little dust compared with replacing fittings, so it can often be carried out while a building stays open, one area at a time. Working hours are agreed before the job starts.
Is wrapping cheaper than replacing doors, desks or lift panels?
Architectural wrapping usually costs less than replacement because the existing items stay in place, nothing has to be manufactured to size, and there is very little to dispose of.
